Mariah is back with her lead single/video from her upcoming 14th album. The name of the song is “#Beautiful”. It features Grammy-winning R&B artist Miguel. Mariah was very smart in having Miguel team up with her on this wonderful new record. We love it here at the office. So far the record is looking to be a smash hit. Her first hit in 3 years. The video premiered on American Idol and we love it. Miguel is really doing his thing. We can’t wait to see what he cooked up with Beyonce in the studio. Check out the video!!

212-RB-Divas-LA-Cast-Released-1

TV One’s hit show “R&B Divas” follows the lives of Faith Evan, Keke Wyatt, Nicci Gilbert, Monifah, and Syleena Johnson.  The show was such a success for TV One that have decided to do a spinoff to it titled “R&B Divas: LA”. The cast members of this spinoff are friend to our website, R&B powerhouse Lil Mo, former City High member Claudette Ortiz, Chante Moore, Kelly Price, Michel’le, and En Vogue’s Dawn Robinson. This should make for an interesting reality show. We love these women together. Friend to the website, Lil Mo,   just moved out to Los Angeles earlier this month.  They have already started filming the season. Stay tuned for more updates on the show, and a premiere date. Congrats ladies, we will be watching.

What has been one of the shortest marriages in Hollywood history, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson filed for divorce from Evelyn Lozada.  What seemed like a match made in heaven as being everything but that.  Last month, a report came out about Chad head-butting Evelyn Lozada in a domestic dispute. Allegedly, Evelyn wanted to get a divorce right away, however, Chad refused to sign the divorce papers.  Today, Chad was officially charged for the incident, and finally sent in the divorce paper work citing their marriage is “irretrievably broken”.

Chad also asked the judge to block Evelyn’s request for him to pay her legal fees due to the fact that they do have a prenuptial agreement. This is going to make for great TV when it comes to the next season of “Basketball Wives”.

…a song titled “Wildest Dreams”. Brandy describes the song as having a “hard 90s beat with a Mary J. knock”.   Brandy’s current first official single “Put It Down” featuring Chris Brown is steadily climbing up the charts. It is currently sitting at #22 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart.  The video premiered a week ago, and already has over 4 million views on Vevo.  Brandy seems to not be playing around this album.  She knows that after two albums in a row that did not sell well, this is do or die.  Brandy hasn’t had a hit song since 2002′s single “Full Moon”.  That is over 10 years ago.  We cannot wait to hear this project in its entirety.  Brandy’s 6th studio album “2/11″ will be released on October 16th.

Brandy has finally shot her first music video in almost four years.  In the picture above you can see that Brandy is back to rocking her signature braids which helped her become famous in the first place .  I wonder will she rocking those braids when she sings the line “I gotta go old school wit it sometimes/still keep it so/2012…” We will see.  Chris Brown is also featured in the video.  The creative director/choreographer of the video is the legendary Frank Gatson (Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, etc.) So we are expecting a dance heavy video.  The video is supposed to drop sometime this month, with her album Two Eleven dropping on August 28th.  Currently, the song has peaked at #54 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart, and has been released since May.  Hopefully, once the visual is released, and with some live performances, she can get her first big hit in 10 years since the single “Full Moon”.  We are rooting for you Brandy.  More pictures from the video shoot down below:

The return of Beyonce happened last  night (May 25th) at Revels Resort & Casino in Atlantic City.  The last time the world saw Beyonce perform live was at last year’s VMAs which was 8 months ago.  This is the first time Beyonce has performed since giving birth to Blue Ivy.  Many were wondering for a woman who RARELY takes a break, can she still rock the crowd as if she never left.  The answer is….YES!!! Beyonce killed it last night.  She even did a tribute to Whitney Houston, singing “I Will Always Love You’, and to Lauryn Hill, singing “X-Factor”. The sold out show took months to prepare, as she chronicled in her 2 part behind the scenes documentary. Last night, was the first night of four nights, May 25-28th.  We are heading to the show on May 28th, which is a nice Memorial Day treat.  Here are some videos of the performances down below.  Beyonce….WELCOME BACK!!

Check out the performances:

…a song off her newest album New Life titled “Without You”.  Now, we were hoping that it would be the Wale-assisted “Take A Chance”.  We love that song here over at Supreme Fabulosity. The song “Without You” is okay.  I feel that Monica needs to release some more uptempo tracks.  IMO, the bulk of this album sounds like leftover tracks from Still Standing. Monica has released a total of three singles from the New Life album era so far.  None of the singles have done well.  The first official single “It All Belongs To Me” has failed to make a dent on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  The album debuted at #4 and sold 69,000 copies first week.  Hopefully, “Without You” will give Monica the legs her album needs to achieve gold or platinum status like her previous efforts.  Check out the song “Without You” below:

So apparently the rap world is buzzing about Diggy taking shots at rapper J. Cole.  The reason why Diggy is firing at J. Cole is because of some comments J. Cole has made about Diggy’s sister Vanessa.  According to reports at MTV,

On the 2010 track Jermaine describes a sexual encounter with a preacher’s daughter, widely speculated to be in reference to Diggy’s sister Vanessa Simmons.Cole also name dropped Vanessa on “Grew Up Fast” a song he released in February after he reached two million Twitter followers. “What up Vanessa? I loved ya that one semester,” he spit after he rhymed, “You n—as is not Russell, you’re more Diggy/ Me I’m more Biggie.” To his credit, J. Cole did clean up the insult later in the song saying that he didn’t mean to dis Diggy, he was simply rapping.

Whatever the case, Diggy clearly felt the sing and addressed it directly on his new song. “The other day I was listening to ‘Purple Rain’/ Couldn’t believe all of the things I heard him say,” Diggy spits on “What You Say to Me.” The 17-year old Simmons continues with “Who Dat, who dat? You know who it is/ Heard you lying on my sis, tellin’ people that you hit/ When ya album drops, I’ma hit you with your brick/ So I’ma bomb first on you since you wanna riff.”

Whatever the case may be the beef seems real stupid to us here at Supreme Fabulosity.  If J. Cole did indeed sleep with Vanessa Simmons, he should have just kept his mouth shut. It was very classless to insinuate or allude to the fact of anything.  We are kind of surprised with the heat Diggy is trying to throw Cole’s way.  However, if a rap beef is to be started between the two. We believe that J. Cole will molly whop all over Diggy.  He is already winning anyways. Diggy’s first week sales 23,000…enough said!
